Three Metal Siding Roll Forming Machines Shipped to Shanghai Port for Chilean Client

03 Jul

On July 2, three metal siding roll forming machines were successfully loaded at our factory and shipped to Shanghai Port, bound for Chile. This shipment marks another important milestone in our long-standing collaboration with customers in South America and showcases the growing international demand for efficient, versatile, and cost-effective metal forming solutions.

The machines were ordered by a loyal customer from Chile who specializes in steel structure building materials and has been in the metal panel manufacturing business for over a decade. This client needed machines capable of producing several different siding profiles without investing in multiple full production lines. Our engineering team proposed a cassette-based roll forming machine that allows the user to produce three different profiles using a single base machine by swapping cassettes.

The cassette design is one of the most efficient and economical solutions for customers who manufacture moderate volumes of various profiles. Instead of purchasing multiple separate roll forming machines, which can be costly and space-consuming, the cassette system offers flexible production capabilities using interchangeable tool sets mounted on the same base structure. For customers like our Chilean partner, this setup provides an ideal balance between versatility, footprint, and budget.

Each of the three machines shipped in this order is built to high standards of precision and durability. The main frame of the machine is constructed from heavy-duty steel with a robust welded structure to ensure long-term stability. Equipped with an easy-change cassette mechanism, the machines allow users to switch between panel profiles in less than 30 minutes, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.

The three profiles included in the cassette set are tailored to the Chilean market. One of them is a standard horizontal wall siding panel commonly used in residential and commercial buildings. The second is a ribbed decorative siding that adds texture and visual appeal to exterior walls. The third is a vertical industrial cladding profile often used in warehouses, agricultural structures, and industrial facilities. Each cassette has its own forming stations and tooling precision-manufactured for clean, consistent profile shapes.

Our technical support team provided detailed documentation, training videos, and remote commissioning assistance to help the customer install and operate the machines smoothly. The machines are equipped with user-friendly control panels using touch screens and PLC systems, allowing the operators to input panel lengths, cutting batches, and profile type quickly and accurately.

Prior to shipment, all machines underwent comprehensive testing in our facility. Our quality control team conducted multiple test runs for each profile to ensure flawless output and perfect fit between the cassettes and the base machine. Hydraulic cutting systems were adjusted for sharp, burr-free cutting, and safety covers were installed to comply with international safety standards.

The shipment was completed on time, and the machines were securely packaged to protect them during sea transport. Our logistics team worked efficiently to ensure the containers were loaded safely, using anti-rust oil and protective wrapping for each component.

This order once again demonstrates our commitment to providing custom-tailored, cost-effective roll forming solutions to our global clients. As demand for metal cladding and siding grows in Latin America, we continue to support local manufacturers with the technology they need to scale their operations and improve product diversity.

We look forward to seeing these machines in operation soon in Chile, contributing to the expansion of high-quality metal panel manufacturing in the region.
